Jasmine is a 21 year old who for as long as she can remember has always had a love and passion for horses. it wasnt until she turned 11 that she started her horse riding career, a one hour riding lesson once a week at Heathlands Riding Establishment, Wokingham where she learnt to walk trot and canter. Unfortunately this was developed into a livery yard which meant all the riding horses where sold on.
Jasmine then moved to Rycroft School of Equitation, Eversley where she began to jump small fences and had her first major involvement in the horse industry. She began working every Saturday 8am-5pm and every Friday after school, her love and dedication was clear at this point.
Jasmines took part in her first competition at Rycroft and managed to come 2nd in the dressage phase of the event. Unfortunately Jasmine decided she no longer wanted to be at Rycroft, this is when she moved to Clouds riding stables, Arborfield and began to jump slightly bigger and have more challenging rides, and it was then that she set out on her search to find a loan horse.
Mac was Jasmine's first pony, and he taught her everything about riding and looking after your own pony, Jasmine owes this little pony everything! Unfortunately she out grew Mac so began to look for a horse to buy, she tried two before she found 'The One', the horse of a life time, Cicero Van Orshof Z. She sadly lost Cicero in November 2008 after he shattered his pastern.
Jasmine finished her studies at Merrist Wood College where she studied a National Diploma in Equine Management and graduated with a distinction, distinction, merit overall and now manages to juggle work, looking after her own horses, working with clients and riding project horses carefully!
She now currently has three of her own horses - Casper Van Overis Z, Santorini Van Overis Z and Lily as well as working with numerous project horses and clients. Jasmine enjoys competing in showing classes and national affiliated show jumping competitions throughout the country with her two horses. The highlight of Jasmines career to date is qualifying for the worlds most prestigious horse show at the NEC Birmingham in 2012 on Casper Van Overis Z. She then went on to place fourth in the final at HOYS. A memory which will never be forgotten
Jasmine currently works as a yard groom at Farley Hall Equestrian Centre in Swallowfield, Berkshire.
The average day starts at 6.00am when she arrives at her yard to do her own horses before work and finishes at 9pm after she has finished work, ridden her own horses and worked with clients - it's a long day but she stays dedicated and never fails to make her way down the yard to care and exercise her horses.
